New look for my friend
Posted on October 1st, 2009 at 8:33 am by admin
Hey, everyone. Talked to Katia again today via e-mail and she had some really exciting news to tell. She had two kids you see and her body changed a bit. She said she tried all sorts of workouts and diets but her breasts and tummy really aren’t the same. So I am here to find out about breast augmentation beverly hills so she can go for an operation when she’s here for my wedding. She also wants a tummy tuck so I will look into that too.
Actually I don’t get why everyone should be so stuck up about beverly hills cosmetic surgery. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it, in my opinion. If you are unhappy about the way you look you should just go and change it. How is it different from putting on make-up for example? It’s just the degree of alteration, in essence it’s the same thing. I think everyone secretly loves plastic surgery opportunities, some people are just cowardly. Celebrities especially should be going for it big time, their face and body is part of the job. And it’s so unfair that with age boys just get better, and we, well, need to go for another botox. I will definably go for plastic surgery when I need to. And I won’t pretend like I eat well or sleep eight hours a day and the rest is magic. Can’t wait for Katia to get her new look, guys. I better go and research.
Choosing a gift makes me sick.

Girls love clothes and I’m not an exception. I love it to go shopping… Even if I don’t have enough money, I’m ready to do some window shopping. It fills me up with energy and desire to work.

I’m not going to tell you about my preferences in clothes again… I will simply write about custom tshirts. I have lots of friends, which means that bashes are held quite often. Everytime I get really nervous when it comes to choosing a gift to one of my girls. They all are very individual and will never accept something silly and useless. Everytime I have to choose a gift it gets more and more complicated. But not long ago I found a wonderful online promotional gifts store from which I have ordered customized T-shirt with funny imprinting specifically for my friend Nicole. She was so excited… Her birthday party was unforgettable. Every time I see her she talks about that wonderful T-shirt.
Now I know that finding a gif is not a big deal… At least so far. I should say that the online store I’m talking about doesn’t only have t-shirts, but also promotional robes, key chains, cookies, laces and lots of funny accessories.
I hope that you will not have a problem with choosing a gift. Now you knw what shop to visit and things you can order there.
Meeting up finally

Guess what happened last week, everyone? My old friend Katia from Belarus finally sent me an e-mail. She used to be my aupair nanny when I was in high school and after a year together we were really like sisters. I thought my heart would break when she had to leave and she confessed later it felt like losing a part of her.
Anyways we wrote to each other for a while by snail mail and then she disappeared for a while. Now we are back on track together and I even invited her to my wedding. She said yes obviously so we’ll see her spring and get to do some of the things we loved back then.
I can’t believe it, she has two kids now and she’s only four years older than me! It seems strange that the girl I knew and had pillow fights with is a picture-perfect mother and wife. But that will happen to me soon as well so I better ask her a lot of questions. But in her last e-mail she said that motherhood is like this crazy basic instinct and when you become one it’s just as natural as anything else. But she was such a perfect au pair for me I can see where her motherly talents are coming from. Anyways, I am all excited about this. And my parents are thrilled too. Laters!
What can women do?
Posted on July 1st, 2009 at 8:05 am by admin
The question is tricky, especially when talking about traveling and vacations. Males have lots of opportunities these days. But thanks to globalization, feminism and other things in names of which I’m not sure women today have equal opportunities.
Every woman can get a visa and go to a country that is not safe. What is more, lots of girls like extreme sports and are ready to do the most dangerous things. Many males gt jealous. Women make enough money and can afford having a good rest. Unfortunately, when you are occupied with your job, you don’t have a lot of spare time. In this case every woman can use services of escorts toronto, for instance. Males are at your disposal. You pay money and get the man of your choice.
Such services are available in cities all over the world. So if you decide to spend a couple of unforgettable days or weeks in New York, Montreal you can rely on escorts new york and escorts montreal. These guys know how to make you pleased and relaxed. Many of my friends have already tried it. They were satisfied. So, if you are going to apply for this sort of service, share your emotions…

New member of the family

Hey, guys, it’s me again here. So you all probably know by now Luke and are about to get hooked for good come this April. I’ve been very broody however, which, in his opinion, is a bit too soon. He says we need more money in the bank and more brains (he better speak for himself) to have a baby. Touph!
So I talked him into getting us a dog (for practice). I mean it’s not like he was against it but I think he anticipated some jealousy and less attention for him. But when Whiskey arrived (guess who chose the name?) he dropped his fears altogether. He’s so cute and happy and spastic we can’t get enough of him. He’s an American Cocker Spaniel of a very pale chocolate and only two months old.
Now my favourite thing is shopping in online pet store for cute treats for my little one. It’s so easy to shop there, I don’t even have to get out of the house besides the pleasure of walking Whiskey. We get his dog food, vitamins and treats online. He’s teething a bit now so he has a couple of favourite chewy toys already. We also bought an excellent bed, feeders and waterers for him there. Now I am designing a tuxedo for him to wear on our wedding. I bet he’s going to be the most handsome brother out there, except Luke, of course! Can’t wait to see the result!
Doing it the green way
Posted on May 13th, 2009 at 9:48 pm by admin
I am Sylvia, hello everyone. We all have our interests in life and I am fascinated with all things green. I don’t mean the colour although it is nice but the eco-friendly stuff. I really love our planet and am a vegan so I try to be environmentally conscious whatever I do.

I eat only organic stuff and I try to look after my body well. My passion is yoga and I always try to choose an eco yoga mat when my old one gets a bit too tattered. Other than yoga I just try to do it in the old ways – I walk to the shops and cycle to work and use the stairs whenever I can. Me and my fiancé travel green always: we cycle mostly and even took our bikes to Spain with us. We usually stay in eco-friendly hostels or better still camp out.
I also pay attention to what I wear. You will never see me in leather or snake skin. Furs make me sick, I don’t understand how anyone can wrap a dead body around themselves. I usually buy clothes at fair-trade shops and try to support produce of the poorest regions of the world. My passion is eco friendly jewelry because it’s totally beautiful and good for the world. When my then boyfriend proposed to me he chose the prettiest of ethical engagement rings– it is never duplicated and so original. So we are getting married in spring, and guess what? Of course our wedding will be as green as green can be!
q&a: Scuzza me, Ross Taylor
Posted on May 5th, 2009 at 7:19 am by admin
Meet Ross Taylor.
Age: 25
Residence: Mount Pleasant
Occupation/background: Former drummer of the late local band The Working Title, current A.C.’s Bar and Grill bartender, and part owner of a new joint set to pop up in the Park Circle area later this year.
girls about charlestowne caught up with Ross over some chai teas at a little cafe and creamery in the neighborhood, and we got the scoop on a new venture he and a couple of other gusy — and a fierce chick — at A.C.’s have hatched up. Wait, rewind: He might not appreciate us saying he drank chai tea with us; actually, he sipped on black coffee…much more his cup of, er, tea.
Check out the video below to see what’s on Park Circle’s horizon. Hint: We think you’ll “dough” crazy about it!

I can’t believe it’s been almost a month since our last post. But I’m proud to report that although I dropped out of the blogsphere, I stuck with the no shopping mandate. Well– I did shop a little, but as promised, I only bought items that were second hand. I’ve been getting a lot of wear out of this vintage dress from Estella Vitae.

I also made good use of my public library card. Free music, DVDs and books? Yes, please.
I signed up for a knitting class at Knit on Wentworth Street and learned a few new tricks.

All in all, not shopping was a runaway success. It was 1,000 times easier than I expected, and I’m hesitant to throw myself back into the world of consumerism. Although the new anthropologie catalog is calling my name…
Kidding! Sort of. But from now on, I will be more cautious with what I’m buying. No more cheap, trendy stuff. If I buy something, I want to be using it for years to come. If it’s sustainable, that’s even better. In the face of mounting environmental and economical concerns, consuming carefully is trendy. Hopefully it will be a trend with staying power. Try it for yourself and see.
Xx,
Bridget

So I received my first — and as it turns out, last — pair of Frye shoes in the mail yesterday. *Tear.
I tromped around New York City last night like I a rock star, though. (Well, an unemployed rock star, like Britney circa 2006.) And who wouldn’t, with a pair of sexy platforms like these leading the way? -Abi
how to: Be Fabulous (and Socially Conscious) on a Budget
Posted on March 11th, 2009 at 7:12 am by admin
Here at girls about charlestowne, we’ve been trying our best to ignore the economic recession. Instead, we usually focus on more important topics, like fancy cocktails at Fish or the new spring apparel at Hampden Clothing.
Yet recent events have brought our irresponsible spending to a halt. (Read more at Abi’s personal blog.) During these tough times, snapping up shiny new handbags and home goods just feels wrong.
So starting today, February 12, we’re vowing not to buy any material goods— clothes, accessories, books, CDs— for an entire month, unless they’re second-hand. That’s (gulp) 30 days with no J.Crew, no new music from 52.5 and definitely no more footwear from The Frye Company. If we need something, we’ll be resourceful. Most everything we want can be found second-hand, on craigslist.com or eBay, or in local thrift shops like The Trunk Show, Estella Vitae, The Exchange Factor, or Linda Page’s Thieves Market.
As an added incentive, shopping second-hand is more socially responsible. We don’t need a brand-new blouse if there’s a perfectly good one in the window of a consignment shop. It’s recycling. It’s refreshing. And it will force us to think about what we’re consuming.
So wish us luck. We’ll keep you posted on our progress. And if you know of any great thrift shops or Web sites, let us know.
Xx,
gac
