A Bit of Info on Electrolysis Training
Posted on October 7th, 2009 at 2:08 pm by admin

Electrolysis is a hair removal method that uses devices known as epilators to remove hair from the body. During this process, short wave radio frequencies destroy the growth center of a hair, discouraging hair from growing back. Electrolysis is a procedure that must be performed by trained specialists in a salon – it is not an at-home treatment. Over time, electrolysis can help remove unwanted hair permanently, although it can take repeated treatments. Electrolysis has become a very popular way to deal with unwanted hair on the face and body.

Some states have rules requiring electrolysis providers to have specific certification and training. Even if you live in a state where certification as an electrolysis technician is not mandatory, though, electrolysis schools are a good option. With certification and training from an electrolysis school, you can work in any state and you can work for upscale salons, which may require certification even if a state does not.

With electrolysis courses, you can learn how to provide the best possible services for your clients and you can learn how to provide safe services. In addition, relevant courses from a beauty school can be handy if you decide to open your own business. Even if your state does not require certification or training, electrolysis schools can give you a big advantage when you seek work. Electrolysis courses may even qualify you for a nicer pay check.

You can pursue electrolysis courses on their own and become a full-time electrolysis technician or you can take electrolysis courses as part of a larger esthetics or cosmetology program. Either way, look for a beauty school with respected, recognized electrolysis courses. These classes at good beauty schools should be taught by experienced electrolysis professionals and should include lots of hands-on practice.

Good cosmetology programs or electrolysis schools will teach you how to use many different kinds of electrolysis equipment. You will also generally learn about the nervous, hair, skin and endocrine systems. Many good electrolysis courses and schools also teach students about basic anatomy, bacteriology, trichology, and contra-indications.

Look for programs that teach you about laser hair removal systems, computer electrolysis equipment, galvanic electrolysis, methods, thermolysis, and blend electrolysis. Also, look for electrolysis classes that teach you basic esthetics and business practices. This will give you a good basic background that will help you find a great job or will help you set up your own business after you graduate from electrolysis school.
